Prologue

Kelley closed and locked the door behind her; making sure she packed everything and left the note including the directions as well as a package containing the red silk underwear on the bed. She put the bags and cooler in the back seat of her car and climbed into the driver’s seat. Kelley turned on the car and the CD player kicked on. Pulling out of the driveway, she headed for the expressway. She had a long drive ahead of her and not a moment to waste if she wanted everything set up before he got there.

Smiling, Kelley thought about her husband, Mike. They’d been together for ten years and their sex life was wonderful and exciting. Both had fantasies and discussed them openly. It wasn’t until one night they discovered acting some of them out made their sex life much more exciting. Some of their fantasies were ones they’d shared and wanted to explore, yet figured they never would. They had been settling for their imaginations instead.

Kelley thought about what she’d planned and smiled. She knew he’d be in for a huge surprise. She’d rented a cabin through the internet. Kelley managed to keep the secret for what seemed like forever instead of one short month.

Over the past month, Kelley had stopped here and there for different things. She’d begun storing them in a duffel bag which she kept hidden in the basement. Kelley was quite proud of herself because she was the one with the most fear of making their fantasies come true. She feared the possible consequences and thought, will this back fire and change the way Mike feels about our relationship, will he then want more of the same and not be satisfied with just our sex life? Yet still she felt compelled to go forward because of the excitement and the turn on it gave both of them.

Kelley continued driving along the expressway to the cabin she’d rented a month earlier to unpack and get things ready. She had to have everything perfect. Nothing could be out of place or go wrong. She made sure they would be secluded and no one around to interrupt them. Kelley chose June and was assured by the owner that they wouldn’t be bothered by anyone. The cabin was located on fifteen acres of private property, which would ensure complete privacy.

Two hours later, Kelley pulled up to the cabin and got out of the car. She stood for a moment looking at the cabin. It was just as she’d imagined, except she’d imagined spending a Christmas or a nice quiet get away instead of a weekend devoted to fantasy. The log cabin was straight from her imagination with the rustic look, wrap around porch and wood piled on one side of the porch up to the bottom of the window.

Kelley opened the back passenger door, pulled out the duffel bag, slinging it over her shoulder and then lifted the suitcase and the cooler from the back seat. She carried them up the steps and set them down next to the front door. Reaching into her pocket she pulled out the key ring she received upon renting the cabin. Inserting the key, she unlocked the door and pushed it open.

She picked up the suitcase and the cooler and set them inside the door. Kelley stepped inside and found the light switch on the wall beside the door. She closed the door behind her and stood for a moment taking it all in.

Perfect, she thought with a smile and stepped further into the living room. The inside of the cabin surprised her. Kelley never thought the inside could so be beautiful or exquisite. Its dark stained paneled walls combined with blue floral curtains covering the windows or the beautiful paintings on the wall. From the outside it was hard to believe the inside would be so beautiful.

She noticed the large oval woven rug on the floor covering three quarters of the hardwood floor. The navy blue over-stuffed sofa sat in the middle of the woven rug facing the fireplace. There was an old handmade afghan draped over the back of the sofa and surrounded by matching throw pillows giving the sofa a warm and inviting look. On the floor between the sofa and the fireplace was a fake bear-skin rug. Kelley smiled at the sensual images that came to mind.

Tearing her gaze from the rug, she saw a matching chair sitting to the left of the sofa, which also had its own afghan and throw pillow. Kelley noticed wood had been neatly stacked in the fireplace in case they’d want to use it. Kelley shook her head, trying to chase away the images that came to mind, walked back towards the door, and took off her coat to hang it on the provided hook.

She picked up the cooler, walked into the small kitchen setting it on the small two-person table beside the counter and opened the fridge, which was devoid of anything but a box of baking soda. She put away the groceries and started opening cupboards to find pots, pans and a few dishes.

Kelley wiped out the cooler, placed it under the sink, and closed the door. She turned off the small overhead light and went back into the living room. Picking up her large suitcase, she took it into the bedroom and laid it on the large king sized bed. The headboard and footboard were made of real wood and had a beautiful floral design carved into it. There was a matching nightstand on either side of the bed, which included a small lamp.

Sitting down on the edge of the bed, she felt its softness and had to resist the urge to lie down even for a few moments. Instead, Kelley looked around the room to find two matching dressers complete with mirrors. Unpacking the suitcase, she took the clothing out placing it in the drawers and tucked the suitcase under the bed.

Kelley turned to leave and stopped in the doorway, looking back at the room and the absolute beauty of it. The bed had a large handmade mauve colored floral quilt spread out across it with another afghan draped along the end of the bed. Kelley thought there were at least four pillows, if not more, beneath the quilt and another two in matching shams on top and several different colored throw pillows carefully placed to match the underlying quilt. There was one small window covered in a cream color, lace curtain. The same mahogany paneling covered the walls in the bedroom as it had in the rest of the cabin. There were a few paintings of landscapes and animals on the walls.

Kelley dimmed the lights to a soft glow and left of the room. Going back into the living room, she picked up the last bag she had brought with her and started to empty out the contents onto the coffee table. Kelley picked up the candles, setting them around the room, then took a few into the bedroom, and placed them on the dressers and the night stands.

Walking back to the living room, Kelley picked up the bag and its remaining contents, and took it back into the bedroom. She placed it on the bed and opened the nightstand drawer. She lifted each item out of the bag and set it inside the drawer carefully. Once the bag was emptied, Kelley zipped it closed and placed it under the bed with the suitcase.

When Kelley was satisfied that everything was set up perfectly, she went to the dresser and opened the top drawer, pulling out the silk nightgown and the matching robe. Laying it across the bed, she went into the bathroom and turned on the shower. Kelley had already set out all their bathroom things on the counter surrounding the sink, picked up her brush and ran it through her hair a few times before placing it on the counter again.

Pulling off her clothes and folding them into a neat pile, she climbed into the shower and let the hot water ease her mind and chase away the tension and the doubts she was feeling about her planned weekend. The warmth of the water running over her body tantalized the already hardened nipples, as she thought of all the exciting things yet to come.

Kelley reluctantly turned off the water and stepped out of the shower. She wrapped a burgundy towel around her that was hanging on the rack. She stepped in front of the mirror and turned on the hair dryer as she brushed her hair.

With her hair finally dry, she put on her make up and checked herself in the mirror. This’ll do, she thought smiling. Kelley went into the bedroom and pulled on her nightgown, then took the towel back into the bathroom to hang it up. Standing in front of the mirror for a few minutes, she looked at herself knowing she was going to have Mike’s full and undivided attention.

Turning off the light and returning to the bedroom, she lit the candles and turned off the lamps. Leaving the door open, she walked into the living room and lit all the candles there, making sure the fire was burning brightly in the fireplace before turning off the lights and turning down the heat. They wouldn’t need anything more than the heat from the fire and of their own bodies.

She sat down on the sofa and leaned against the pillows letting the heat from the fire warm her while her thoughts strayed to the fantasy weekend she’d planned. Kelley had everything they’d need; all he had to do was get there.
